1. Medical Meditation Program
A four-week series that is designed to give an introduction into the fundamentals of Kundalini Yoga and medical meditation series. Class is done in a chair with the option of on the floor. Specific areas addressed: spinal fluid-meditation to help memory, posture and breath exercises-meditation to elevate mood, glandular system- meditation to break addictions, and lymphatic system-strengthening the immune system. Manuals are purchased for this program.
2. Breath Works
The science of Kundalini Yoga is known for extensive breath patterns. Why? This technology optimizes both brain hemispheres, calms and shifts mood, and circulates blood to both the brain and lower organs with the use of fire breath. The health benefits to learning the breath techniques alone will add more energy, feeling relaxed, and having more sense of self. It’s the loss of self that starts to create underlying stress and mental tension in our lives. In all our years of teaching we have only viewed 5% of our clients who breathed properly,
engaged the right muscles, and had a healthy, long, deep breath. It’s really no surprise that after a few sessions when people are breathing better they notice significant changes in health and mood. This is no miracle pill- it is the greatest gift we have been given our breath!
3. Stress Reduction/Sleep Programs
The science of Kundalini Yoga has many medical meditations to offer for stress reduction and insomnia. For insomnia, there is Shabd Kriya and Yuni Kriya which are medical meditations. In stress reduction we will work with several one-nostril breath patterns. Once a client learns which nostril they dominate with when breathing-we can form techniques and knowledge to teach the student to do left nostril breathing at the end of the night. Type A people tend to be right nostril dominate which is one reason they have a tough time calming and shutting down the mind at night.
